1) The basal ileal endogenous loss of CP and each AA (g/kg of DM intake) was determined for pigs fed the nitrogen-free diet, and the SID of AA was calculated by using the AID of AA to correct endogenous nitrogen loss. The basal ileal endogenous loss of CP, Arg, His, Ile, Leu, Lys, Met, Phe, Thr, Trp, Val, Ala, Asp, Cys, Glu, Gly, Pro, Ser, Tyr were 33.87, 0.87, 0.44, 0.64, 1.23, 0.49, 0.17, 0.85, 1.37, 0.18, 0.63, 1.54, 1.49, 0.87, 1.66, 4.70, 9.49, 1.21 and 0.64 g/kg of DM intake.
